FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed mechanism can be used for converting reciprocation into rotation and vice versa. Mechanism contains two intermediate shafts, each being hinge-connected with supports crank and with common eccentric bushing. Rotating gears are installed on shafts with pitch circle radius equal to one fourth of piston being in engagement with fixed internal gears with pitch circle radius equal to half of piston stroke. Gears can be installed both from side of eccentric bushing and from side of support cranks. Eccentric bushing has two holes which can be either blind or through, and can be arranged diametrically or at some angle depending on stroke, number of cylinders and arrangement of cylinders.
EFFECT: improved reliability, reduced overall dimensions.
