FIELD: medicine, experimental nephrology.

SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with studying the mechanisms of formation, development and correction of renal diseases. It is suggested to apply the method for modeling electrolytic nephropathy in rats based upon application of special semi-synthetic diet loaded with the salts of aqueous sodium disubstituted phosphate at potassium and magnesium deficiency, daily intramuscular injections of hydrocortisone acetate suspension at simultaneous substitution of drinking water with 1%-sodium chloride solution. The method enables to obtain new experimental model which demonstrates electrolytic, lipid and morphological changes in rat's kidneys more accurately based upon electrolytic nephropathy. The model suggested is simple at usage being of high reproducibility, the lack of lethality in experimental animals and short period of nephrological pathological development.
