FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed adapter designed for connecting low-voltage power supplies, such as solar batteries or storage batteries, to motor-car chargers of portable low-voltage devices, including charge and booster charge of all types of batteries rated at 3 to 9 V (12 V) and 2.5 A-h capacity in locations where stationary power supplies are not available has tubular shell with through ports that accommodates socket with shroud and terminal similar to cigarette lighter socket. Adapter socket is locked in position by means of spring-loaded lugs in shroud ports to form collapsible joint. Decoupling diode designed to afford charging from storage or solar battery is mounted on posts of wiring plate installed on socket terminal. Shell has removable plug with hole to bring in power conductors from low-voltage power supply.
EFFECT: simplified design, reduced space requirement, enhanced reliability, enlarged functional capabilities, facilitated manufacture.
