FIELD: electrical engineering; relay protection of electrical installations.

SUBSTANCE: novelty is that proposed controller designed for relay protection of electrical installations in emergency situations caused by open circuit in supply mains, continuous overloads and short circuits, turn-to-turn faults, phase distortions, no-load current increase of motor or mechanism as a whole above desired value, voltage drop or overvoltage, worn-out bearings, and the like is provided with newly introduced nonvolatile memory unit that enables recording and next read-out of emergency parameters in electrical installation, acquisition of accident statistics, and analysis of their cause. In addition, it is provided with solid-state watch enabling measurement of correct time and date of accident onset, as well as electrical isolation and pre-scaling unit designed to maintain linear characteristics throughout entire measurement range and analog-to-digital converter intended for simultaneous processing of minimum six input signals.

EFFECT: enhanced operating current and voltage measurement accuracy and speed of response, enlarged functional capabilities.
