FIELD: electric engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electric engineering, namely to relay protection devices for d.c. traction networks from short currents, and may be used for traction networks protection and automation in underground system of city and railway transportation, and on electric stock. In the power bus bar, control and protection instrumentation contains high-speed switch, instrument shunt, mounted in power bus bar having emergency switch coil, low-voltage control unit and one or more high-voltage measuring units. The technical result is achieved by using relevant structural solutions in high-voltage measuring unit allowing for improving equipment reliability, avoiding unnecessary structural item and simplifying equipment installation into a cell, and by ensuring possibility to connect additional high-voltage measuring units to the equipment and by using self-testing and serviceability control units as part of low-voltage unit.

EFFECT: improved reliability and automation level and advanced functionalities of dc traction network protection system.
