FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to connection of metal structures of load-lifting machines, namely to connections of chords of tower crane sections. Proposed connection includes lock consisting of upper and lower wedges which is fitted in holes of inner and outer lugs of section chords of tower and lock retainer. Holder of lock in idling position is secured on one of chords, and retainer is coupled with said holder and lock.
EFFECT: increased strength and reliability of connection of tower section chords, improved convenience in tower mounting, reduced labor input in mounting.
