WEDGE CONNECTION OF TOWER CRANE SECTION CHORDS Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering; tower cranes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to detachable connections of tower sections of tower cranes. Proposed wedge connection of tower section chords includes support with support surfaces of first chord between which lug with support surface of second chord is arranged, upper and lower wedges installed between support surfaces of first chord and support surface of second chord, lock of wedges made of plate into hole of which rod with threaded part is fitted to connect plate with one of wedges. Support of first chord is made of pair of checks with guides between which wedges are located. Stop is secured on first chord. Plate is coupled with stop. Hole in plate is threaded to receive threaded part of above-indicated rod. End of rod thrust against end of upper wedge.

EFFECT: improved reliability of connection of tower section chords, provision of convenient mounting of tower crane sections.
