SPORTS CENTER WITH ROOFED-IN SLEDDING-AND-BOBSLEIGH PATH Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

Abstract RU 2257440 C1

FIELD: construction, particularly buildings or groups of buildings for public or similar purposes, namely for sports, erected between existent buildings and near acting objects, preferably near previously reconstructed ones, road-transport and subway bridges.

SUBSTANCE: sports center is made as a bridge structure spanning river near previously reconstructed subway double-deck bridge. The sports center comprises upper and lower connecting stations supported by posts, span structure having spanning part located above river. Longitudinal axis of spanning part is parallel or extends at acute angle to longitudinal subway bridge axis. Axis of lower part extends at acute angle to longitudinal subway bridge axis. Longitudinal axes of parts located above the panning part define bent area, wherein uppermost of above parts has a platform passing into spanning part area arranged above river bank with maximum angle in comparison with angles of inclination of next parts. Neighboring part located above river bank and connected with adjacent, preferably horizontal, part with lesser length has 16%-20% inclination angle and is terminated with horizontal part. Part extending above river and having the greatest length has 14%-16% inclination angle. Next part extends at a 16%-19% angle and passes into horizontal platform or in platform having opposite inclination angle. Spanning part posts are coaxial to supports of spanning subway bridge structure or offset relative the supports towards lower span structure parts. Piste structure is formed on above parts so that inclinational angles of the piste structure are equal to that of sports center parts. Extant foundation parts of temporary metal span structure piers of bypass bridges formed during subway bridge reconstruction and/or foundation parts of spanning subway bridge structure piers are united with that of spanning sports center part of bridge passage by foundation grill or made with forming foundation parts of above bridge passage supports or are connected thereto by cross-pieces. Sports center has sledding-and-bobsleigh path located within the boundaries of piste structure. Sledding-and-bobsleigh path is made as roofed-in gutter including straight parts and rounded parts defining path turns and connected to straight ones. The gutter is secured to spanning piste structure part supports by outer consoles. Sledding-and-bobsleigh path is provided with additional supports connecting load-bearing gutter structure with outer foundations. Path turns have additional supports connecting load-bearing gutter structure with load-bearing structure of spanning piste structure part located above slope. Besides, additional supports connected to path turns may also attach load-bearing gutter structure with spanning piste structure part pier located from outer path turn side. Breaking part of sledding-and-bobsleigh path extends towards support located on the slope and having platform provided with lifting equipment to lift sports outfit.

EFFECT: extended capabilities of the center built near existent subway bridge, possibility to take into consideration dynamic forces received and transmitted to ground and complexity of geological conditions and territory relief, provision of optimal city land usage, increased reliability of Olympic-class sledding-and-bobsleigh path usage due to reduced load applied to slope by rearranging some supports of piste structure.
