FIELD: welding materials, possibly automatic welding under flux for restoring dimensions of worn parts and for producing wear resistant protection coating on parts of metallurgical equipment operating in condition of compression and abrasive wear.
SUBSTANCE: powder wire contains steel envelope and powder like charge. The last contains next relation of components, mass %: ferrotungsten, 12 -14; metallic chrome, 2.5 - 4.0; ferrovanadium, 0.5 - 1.0; ferromagnanese, 0.4 - 1.0; graphite, 0.1 - 0.4; silicon carbide, 0.1 - 1.0; iron powder, the balance. Powder wire of such composition allows surfacing parts of carbon steels with carbon content 0.4 - 0.5% at high rate and without sub-layer application.
EFFECT: enhanced wear resistance, flaw absence, stable rigidity and chemical composition of surfaced metal.
