FIELD: metal working.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in mechanised arc surfacing for restoring and producing wear-resistant protective coatings for parts of metallurgical equipment, e.g., casting rolls, rollers of feed roller tables. Flux cored wire consists of a steel shell and a powdery charge at the following ratio of components, % wt.: steel shell 67.0 to 68.0, ferromanganese 0.51 to 1.18, ferrosilicon 1.0 to 1.90, ferrochrome 6.0 to 8.7, ferromolybdenum 0.9 to 1.45, ferrovanadium 0.3 to 0.8, nickel 0.01 to 0.40, carbon-fluorine-containing dust of aluminium production filters 0.70 to 1.15, iron powder the rest.
EFFECT: invention provides increased hardness and wear resistance of the deposited metal layer due to introduction of nickel into the wire, as well as improved quality of the deposited metal layer due to reducing the level of contamination with non-metallic inclusions.
