FLAT PLIERS Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: flat pliers, possibly used for mounting metallic tube joints.

SUBSTANCE: flat pliers have two arms mutually joined on first common rotation axle with possibility of rotation. Flat pliers also have portion of working member at one side of common first rotation axle and leverage portion with handles at other side of common first rotation axle. First arm is divided in its leverage portion by lever remote from handle and by lever close to handle. Both said levers are mutually joined with possibility of rotation on second rotation axle parallel to first rotation axle through first hinge. Flexible link joins second arm with close-to-handle end of first arm lever remote from handle; said link may be shortened due to rotation of close-to-handle lever of first arm around second rotation axle. Second arm includes lever remote from handle and lever close to handle. Both said levers on third rotation axle parallel to common first rotation axle are mutually joined with possibility of rotation by means of third hinge. The last may be different in structure.

EFFECT: enhanced quality and rate of mounting operations, lowered labor consumption.
