FIELD: mechanics.
SUBSTANCE: ring mechanism consists of body frame and ring for holding pages. Each ring has two ring elements. At least one of these ring elements is moveable relative the body frame and the second ring element between closed and open positions. In the close position, both ring elements form a continuous closed loop, allowing for turning over the pages. In the open position, both ring elements form an open loop for adding or removing pages. Besides that, the ring mechanism has a system of moving, at least, one ring element between the closed and open positions. That system has a two articulated plates, supported by the body frame, for repeated movement relative the body frame. One of the ring elements is installed on the first articulated plate, and the actuating mechanism, installed on the body frame, is meant for turning about the axis of the articulated plates. The actuating system is capable of deformation when the actuating mechanism is moved, so as to delay repeated movement of the articulated plates, taking place when the actuating mechanism is moved.
EFFECT: proposed group of inventions provides for light locking up of ring elements without extra spring components.
