CLEANER-HUMIDIFIER Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: gas scrubbing filters cleaning gases from dust, drops, aerosol; cleaning and humidifying air in domestic and industrial rooms.

SUBSTANCE: proposed cleaner-humidifier has body 1 with inlet hole 2 and outlet hole 3 and bath for liquid. Fan 5 with drive 6 is connected with inlet hole 2 of body 1. Filter elements are made in form of drive disks 7 and driven disks mounted on axles 9 which are connected with transfer mechanism 10. Located between disks on side of bath 4 on brackets are cleaning members for pressing the disks to lateral surface; they are made in form of brushes. During rotation, surfaces of disks are regularly immersed in liquid of bath 4 and after escape from liquid they are blown with dust-laden air, thus making dust stick to moist surfaces of disks. When disks are immersed in liquid, dust is washed-off. Cleaning members mounted between disks on side of bath make it possible to press them to lateral surface of disks, thus ensuring complete cleaning of disk surfaces.

EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of gas scrubbing.
