FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: according to invention rotary motion of engine control shaft provides stationary position and reciprocation of piston, thanks to it intake, compression, combustion, working stroke and exhaust of combustion products take place in engine cylinder. Engine is furnished with output shaft with flywheel connected with control shaft. Design of engine implementing the method provides accelerated compression and working stroke and stationary position of piston in bottom dead center at intake of air and discharge of exhaust gases. If single-cylinder engines are united into multicylinder engine, control shafts of separate cylinders are connected so that one and the same processes in cylinders of multicylinder engine take place either in turn, or simultaneously or in groups.
EFFECT: improved performance characteristics of internal combustion piston engine.
