FIELD: internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: method for increasing the efficiency of a reciprocating internal combustion engine consists in that the piston (3) occupies a fixed position and performs reciprocating motion, on the control drum the half-rings-sensors are rotated by means of an electric motor (9) and electric receivers are installed around the drum. The T-shaped toothed spring-loaded rod (3) of the piston (2) occupies a fixed position and reciprocates by rotating the rocker arms (13), (14), as a result of which intake, compression, combustion processes occur in the engine cylinder (2), working cycle and exhaust gases of combustion products. During the process, the rectilinear movement of the gear spring-loaded rod (3) of the piston (2) is converted into rotational movement of the gear rims (17), (18) of the ratchet wheels (19), (20) connected to the load shaft (21). In case of combining single-cylinder engines into a multi-cylinder engine, the automatic control system ensures the operation of electric drives of spring-loaded rods (3) in such a way that the similar processes in the cylinders of a multi-cylinder engine are carried out either alternately, or simultaneously, or in groups.
EFFECT: reducing the size of the engine.
