FIELD: power engineering; internal combustion piston engines.
SUBSTANCE: according to invention, single-cylinder engine includes operating cylinder with piston, control shaft and made in form of camshaft with cam of which rod engages through roller. Rod is furnished with rocker with spring and is connected with piston. Cam of control shaft is made so that duration of working stroke increases owing to downwards movement of piston with connected rod as roller slips off cam lobe at this moment. Rotation of camshaft during working stroke is provided by rocker acting onto cam lobe through spring. Several cams are installed in fan-like manner on control shaft of single-cylinder engine. If separate single-cylinder engines are united into multicylinder engine, cams are shifted along splines of control shaft to that one and the same processes in cylinders of multicylinder engine are provided either in turn, or simultaneously or in groups.
EFFECT: improved performance characteristics of engine.
