FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves training toughness by participating in training and competitions in swimming independently of season with various training branches. Athletic swimming in ice-cold and cold water is carried out. Ice-cold water is thought to have temperature from -3°C to +1°C and cold water from +1°C to +5°C. Swimming takes place in alternating butterfly-crawl-butterfly style periodically varying athletic swimmer body position from vertical to horizontal one with obligatory exhalation into water and with thermal protection and water-proof equipment being used. Beside that, training exercises are done on land on sports devices and training simulators periodically varying body position from vertical to horizontal one.
EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in controlling cardiorespiratory stability.
