FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to restorative medicine, and rehabilitation and is used for restorative treatment of patients suffering diseases or traumatic affection of locomotor system, in particular spine and its cervical, central and peripheral nervous systems, and can also be used to improve health and adaptation of a healthy individual. Method involves water immersion procedures and water exercises. Before the swimming procedure, the patient puts on the neck a cervical stiffening rigidity not below the middle or inflatable corset for neck and immersed into water to the chin. Position of the swimmer's body axis at the moment of swimming is close to the perpendicular relative to the water surface. Swimmer makes cyclic movements of opposite limbs from position "standing, hands along body", in first cycle of cycle – lifting one arm with ejection forward, palm down. At arm ejection moment, other leg is maximally bent in hip and knee joint, and another arm is bent in elbow and retracted backwards. During the second phase, the swimmer performs a tack movement with his or her hand "down for himself" with simultaneous jogging of the opposite leg. In the third and fourth phases the swimmer repeats movements of the first two phases, but opposite extremities, and further – from the first phase. Breathing during swimming should be even and calm, at that, at the moment of blowout, inhalation is performed, and exhalation is performed at the moment of stroke, and repetition of movement with opposite hand. Repeated inhalation is performed at the beginning of the next cycle with repeated ejection of the hand. Exercises should be performed 3 to 7 times week for 20–40 minutes.
EFFECT: method allows reducing pressure on joints with muscular corset tone recovery, developing active motions of upper and lower extremities, increasing endurance to dynamic loads, increasing rehabilitation potential of patient, improving coordination skills.
