FIELD: method and equipment for feeding flat articles for creating regularly synchronized article flows, for example, flows wherein single articles are transported at predetermined pitch or laid in cascade to form regular structure.
SUBSTANCE: method involves individualizing flat articles 2 with compound configuration profile and/or articles of variable thickness from horizontally laid stack, said stack serving as cushioning between individualization stage and stage of feeding articles 2 and stacked articles 2 being imparted direction in channel 1 for individualization. In order to provide for individualization velocity of dozens thousands of articles per hour, articles 2 are directed to feeding stack 3 wherein they are transported to individualization stage in unfixed state, with direction being set from lateral side. Feeding stack 3 is converted into individualization stack 5, and articles are individualized only from individualization stack 5. Articles 2 of individualization stack 5 are directed and transported in stable state in the form of stack, i.e., said articles are kept by force applied thereto. Feeding stack 3 serves as cushioning and, as such, it accommodates freely selected number of articles 2, said number varying within wide range. Number of articles 2 in individualization 5 is essentially smaller and kept at constant low level.
EFFECT: increased individualization velocity and provision for adapting said method and apparatus to various sizes of articles.
