SUBSTANCE: method includes connection of automatic sample-taking device from pipeline by channel, using said sample-taker portions of samples are taken through this channel, and samples are transported through system of hollows in automatic sample-taker. Sample is taken during transporting of portions of samples through channels based on condition of preservation of liquid compressing ability coefficient and absence of accumulation of gas phase in hollows of automatic sample-taker. Device for taking samples of liquid from pipeline includes automatic sample-taker for taking sample portions and channel, connecting pipeline to automatic sample-taker for taking portions of samples by automatic sample-taker from pipeline, and sample-taker for collecting portions of samples, collected by automatic sample-taker from pipeline. Hollows of automatic sample-taker for transporting portions of samples from pipeline to sample-collector are connected via channels, size of which is selected on basis of condition for preserving liquid compressing ability coefficient and absence of accumulation of gas phase.
