RETAINING DEVICE FOR CONNECTION/DISCONNECTION OF DUST COLLECTOR OF CYCLONE-TYPE VACUUM CLEANER AND VACUUM CLEANER PROVIDED WITH SUCH A DEVICE Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: retaining device has slide groove of predetermined depth and width extending rearward approximately from center of lower side of dust collector, guiding member located in slide groove and adapted for directed connection and disconnection of dust collector and comprising cam guiding member having first and second receptacle slots arranged at respective height. Control lever has cam part with cam protrusion adapted for insertion into cam guiding member, rotary pin extending from cam part, and part adapted for handling and provided at one end of rotary pin. Control lever is arranged in vacuum cleaner case so as to protrude beyond vacuum cleaner case for rotation in forward and backward direction in order to move guiding member upward and downward to certain height in accordance with eccentricity of cam part. Retaining device is disposed in cyclone-type vacuum cleaner comprising case including vacuum creating device and suction brush located adjacent to lower part of vacuum cleaner case. Casing of cyclone-type catcher is positioned in mounting part of vacuum cleaner case and adapted for separating of contaminant particles contained in air sucked through inlet channel fluidly communicating with suction brush, and for discharge of pure air through discharge channel fluidly communicating with vacuum creating device. Dust collector is detachably connected to case of cyclone-type catcher and adapted for collecting of contaminant particles separated in casing of cyclone-type catcher.

EFFECT: convenient handling and usage of vacuum cleaner owing to the fact that upon disconnection and connection of dust collector, casing of cyclone-type catcher remains attached to vacuum cleaner case.
