FIELD: methods of water cleaning.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for cleaning water in open water reservoirs, including natural ones, contaminated with dissolved heavy metals, and also industrial sewage. Water is treated by mixture of carbonatite and active silica, ratio 0.8-1:1. Carbonatite with content of calcium carbonate not less than 75 mass% is used. Used as active silica is product of treatment of forsterite concentrate of 20-30% sulfuric acid in presence of vermiculite seed at temperature of 55-65°C. Water treatment is carried out to provide pH 6.5-8.0 at consumption of reagent of 2-20 g/l. Size of reagent parts is 0.10-0.16 mm. Method provides cleaning of water of open reservoirs and sewage water from ions of nickel, copper, zinc, iron with provision of high degree of cleaning and improves filtration of water under cleaning through layer of reagent. Heavy metals are settled mainly in form of basic hydrosilicates stable under supergene conditions which excludes secondary contamination caused by dissolving of sediment in case of change of water pH.
EFFECT: improved quality of water cleaning from ions of heavy metals.
