FIELD: mechanical engineering; gasoline engines.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method of starting and operation of gasoline internal combustion engine with compression ratio up to 45 comes to building vacuum in intake manifold and cylinder at starting and limiting filling of engine cylinder with air at operation from idling to maximum speed. Vacuum is built in intake manifold at switching on the ignition by signal from electronic control unit owing to removal of air from intake manifold with fuel injection device and throttle valve closed. When preset level of vacuum in intake manifold depending on compression ratio of said engine, its temperature, and pressure is obtained, electronic control unit, by signal from vacuum sensor, forms signal to starter for cranking the shaft and forms signals to fuel injection device, throttle valve and spark plug, providing delivery of air, fuel and spark to cylinder. In period from beginning of cranking of crankshaft to starting of engine, electronic control unit forms signal to limit turning of throttle valve, thus providing required vacuum in intake manifold. After starting of engine, air removal from intake manifold is stopped. At operation from idling to maximum speed, depending on compression ratio of engine, its temperature, ambient temperature and pressure, crankshaft speed and octane rating of gasoline, electronic control unit forms signal to change position of throttle valve, thus limiting filling of cylinder with air.
EFFECT: improved reliability of starting and operation of engine under conditions up to maximum speed.
