FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves carrying out superomedian laparotomy, treating the pancreas with cold using liquid nitrogen as refrigerating fluid. Cryogenic treatment is carried out by means of cryoapplicator directly on pancreas surface. Single cryogenic treatment is applied for 3-5 min with distance between cryoapplicator treatment points being equal to 26-28 mm. Each cryogenic treatment is carried out 12-15 mm far from pancreas edge. The duodenal wall is 20.5-21.5 mm far from cryodestructor.
EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment; retained endogenous gland function.
