FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves making direct occlusion. Reading threshold is determined for amblyopic eye and text is shown for reading with font size satisfying to the reading threshold limits. The text is read during 10-15 min. Then the standard font is magnified with optical device 2-3 times as large and reading is continued another 10-20 min until visual fatigue occurs but not longer than 30-40 min per one session. The total treatment course is 2-3 months long under daily training conditions. Font size is diminished corresponding to reading threshold being reduced.
EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in increasing vision acuity.
