MACHINE FOR REMOVING OF RIND FROM FRUIT, PREFERABLY, OF PUMPKIN Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: agricultural engineering, may be used in food-processing industry for processing of hard-rind fruits, preferably, of pumpkin.

SUBSTANCE: machine has frame, hopper, drive drum with brushes, conveyor for fruit with removed rind and conveyor for removed rind. Machine is further provided with additional conical drums equal in size and cylindrical drums of different sizes. Cylindrical drum of smaller diameter is arranged forward of first conical drum. Both drums have single drive. Larger-diameter cylindrical drum is arranged rearward of second conical drum. Both drums also have single drive. Shafts of sequentially arranged small-diameter cylindrical drum and first conical drum and of second conical drum and large-diameter cylindrical drum are mutually connected by means of Hooke's general-purpose joints. Drives of sequentially arranged drums are made in the form of motor-reducers. Each of cylindrical drums comprises carrier carcass with pins. Slots are provided on carcass surface. Slots are oriented along generatrices of cylindrical carcass surface. One end of carcass is equipped with rim. Housing with radial apertures is mounted on surface of carrier carcass. Needle-type brush members are arranged in housing radial apertures and slots of carrier carcass. Housing is fixed on carrier carcass surface by means of flange. Each of conical drums is defined by shaft with spline grooves for accommodation of wedge-shaped and prismatic splines. Hubs with shaped disks and planks on their flanges are disposed on shaft. Each of said planks is equipped with dovetail recess adapted for receiving of needle-type member mounting means, said mounting means being formed as part mating with dovetail recess.

EFFECT: increased efficiency and provision for full removal of rind from hard-rind fruit.
