FIELD: metal working.
SUBSTANCE: tap comprises teeth of forward and backward cutting at each blade whose cutting edges are arranged at the same level. The back side of the teeth is symmetrical with respect to the middle of the blade and has cylindrical shape over the edge of the blade made of a belt that goes into the concave surface. The depth of the concave surface in the middle of the blade is determined from the formula proposed. The angle of the shape of cheap groves is an acute angle with a radius at the top and defines negative front angle.
EFFECT: improved quality of working and simplified making.
