FIELD: chemistry; biochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to genetic engineering, particularly to molecular-genetic typing strains of infectious agents. DNA of Mycoplasma hominis bacteria is isolated. Part of the gene is amplified through a polymerase chain reaction with simultaneous introduction of primers with subsequent electrophoresis of the obtained DNA fragments in agarose gel. Presence of T→C mutation on position 179 of the gene which codes the 16S subunit of rRNA is determined by comparing amplification products with a control DNA sample. The selected primers have high specificity of reacting with template DNA, which enables amplification of part of the gene without restriction analysis.
EFFECT: method enables rapid and accurate differentiation of Mycoplasma hominis bacteria strains which have different virulence degree.
