FIELD: powder metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: process of manufacturing heaters from molybdenum disilicide-based material comprises preparation of mixture of molybdenum disilicide powder and powder of high-resistivity refractory material originated from slag formed in molybdenum disilicide synthesis. Refractory material powder is added in amount needed to achieve required heater material resistivity value. Mixture is placed in profiled groove, made from material having melting and softening temperatures above operation temperature of heater, and then compacted.
EFFECT: increased resistivity and enabled control thereof.
