FIELD: inspection of thickness of rolled metal.
SUBSTANCE: according to radiation method of measurement of thickness of rolled metal the sheet item is stroke-through with radiation flux. The sheet item is permanently air-blown through. The air is first cooled down till temperature of minus 28-30° for removing moisture from the air and thenthe item is heated till plus 26-30°. Dehydrated (dry) and warmed air entering the area of radiation flux is subject to pumping out from the flux's side being opposite to side from where the dry air is pumped in.
EFFECT: widened functional capabilities; improved precision of inspection.
