FIELD: geophysics.
SUBSTANCE: method includes registering low-frequency electromagnetic emission. When intensiveness of emission exceeds background level, position of earthquake center is estimated. When intensiveness of low-frequency emission exceeds background level, portions of ground surface are additionally scanned from onboard of spacecraft in x-ray spectrum range. Position of earthquake center is defined more precisely by determining direction to center of expected earthquake in azimuth and angular planes.
EFFECT: higher precision.
