FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemistry of chalcone derivatives, namely, to a method for preparing 1-meta-phenoxyphenyl-2-nitroalkenes. Invention describes a method for preparing 1-meta-phenoxyphenyl-2-nitroalkenes of the general formula: wherein R means hydrogen atom (H), CH3, C2H5. Method involves interaction of m-phenoxybenzaldehyde with corresponding nitroparaffin: nitromethane, nitroethane, nitropropane and process is carried out in the presence of catalytic system comprising hexamethylenediamine, acetic acid, boric acid taken in the mole ratio = 1:2:0.1, respectively, in the parent reagents medium taken in the mole ratio = (1.2-1.5):(1.0-1.2):(0.05-0.1), respectively, at temperature 60-80°C for 3 h followed by isolation of the end product. Proposed method provides high yield of the end product.
EFFECT: improved preparing method.
