FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method consists in the interaction of a carbonyl compound with an acetonitrile derivative in the presence of an alkali solution in a solvent medium with the following extraction and purification of the target product. The method is characterised by the fact that interaction is carried out in an ethanol medium at a temperature of 20-30°C in the presence of a water solution of an alkali, representing sodium hydroxide. As the carbonyl compound benzaldehyde or 3-phenoxybenzaldehyde is applied and as the acetonitrile derivative - 3- phenoxyphenylacetonitrile. The process is carried out with the molar ratio of the carbonyl compound, 3- phenoxyphenylacetonitrile and alkali equal to 1:1:0.5. The target product is extracted by filtration; purification is realised by re-crystallisation from ethanol.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to obtain target compounds in mild conditions with good output and high degree of purity.
