FIELD: polarization isolation for ensuring double frequency use mode.
SUBSTANCE: proposed polarized selector is built around circular waveguide in the form of waveguide tee that has circular and rectangular waveguide sections as well as circular-to-rectangular waveguide adapter; one polarization grating is installed at output of rectangular-waveguide section and other one, at output of circular-waveguide section. Each grating is assembled of metal conductors of diameter D = 0.01 λmin which are spaced 0.1 λmin apart. Grating conductors are disposed in parallel with wide walls of rectangular waveguide section and circular-to-rectangular waveguide adapter. In addition, metal plate , inductive rod, and adjusting screw are installed in circular waveguide section and matching diaphragms, in rectangular waveguide section; space within rectangular waveguide section holding matching diaphragms is filled with insulating material having low dielectric constant.
EFFECT: enhanced isolation in operating frequency band of rectangular waveguide.
