FIELD: mobile communications.

SUBSTANCE: after direct communication line has received information incorporating instruction received over control channel of direct communication line from base station for speeding up or speeding down return-line data, mobile station finds out if preceding information about capability of raising speed transferred to base station over control channel of return communication line prior to receiving direct-line information points to the fact that raising data transfer speed over return communication line is possible when direct-line information provides instruction on capability of raising data speed through return communication line. Mobile station raises current data speed in return communication line to data speed equal to or lower than maximal data speed in return communication line provided information about capability of raising speed points to the fact that return-line data speed can be increased and transfers return-line data at increased speed.

EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of using return communication line.
