FIELD: food processing industry, in particular production of biologically active food additive for iodine insufficiency prophylaxis.
SUBSTANCE: bioactive food additive contains (mass %): crystalline iodine 0.0005-0.0007; potassium iodide aqueous solution 0.0007-0.0009; pectin 33.2-33.4; and balance: distilled water. Method for additive production includes crystalline iodine dissolution in potassium iodide aqueous solution, pectin addition and agitation. Then distilled water is added to produce homogeneous colloidal mass. Obtained mass is dried at 30-55°C, finished product is ground, and tail is returned for regrinding.
EFFECT: additive useful in simultaneous enterosorption and removal of ecological toxicants, which block iodine utilization.
