FIELD: electrical engineering; fuel compositions suitable for catalytic fuel elements.
SUBSTANCE: main fuel component is surfactant, such as methanol which is used as source of high specific energy excluding decomposition of auxiliary fuel. Auxiliary fuel is hydrogen-containing inorganic compound at high reducing potential, such as NaBH4 which acts as high-reaction energy source and catalyses catalytic oxidation of main fuel.
EFFECT: high specific energy of fuel; enhanced stability at contact with catalytic anode when electrochemical circuit is open.
