FIELD: combustion.
SUBSTANCE: method comprise heat treatment of waste in the layer by rising heat flux directly in the gas space of the bath of the slim melt with additional heated air supply over the waste layer. The waste layer is positioned above the surface of the bath with the slim melt so that the projection of the area of the waste layer on the plane at surface of the melt is completely or in part out of the surface of the bath with slim melt. The bath is blown with the products of combustion of hydrocarbon fuel at a temperature that exceeds that of the slim melt by 10-600°C. The gas is supplied above the surface of the slim melt from the side of the bath opposite to that for supplying the products of preliminary heat treatment to the bath with slip melt.
