FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, specifically to ophthalmology. To conduct the accommodation with a comitant squint, the ametropia is first corrected by spherical lenses. Then, a prismatic correction of up to 8 prism dioptres is performed until the setting movements disappear and the symmetrical position of the eyes is reached. After that, the accommodation is carried out. And with a deviation of up to 15 degrees Hirschberg prismatic correction is carried out on one eye. With a deviation of 15 degrees Hirschberg prismatic correction is carried out on both eyes.
EFFECT: method allows to diagnose the violations of the binocular accommodative response and the comitant accommodative response in a comitant squint to select therapeutic measures for their elimination.
