MANUAL CUTTING PLIERS Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: manual tools, namely pliers for cutting, for example round, rectangular and other rolled pieces.

SUBSTANCE: cutting pliers include pair of force levers, pair of cutters with slit for cut object and set of pins of force joints for joining force levers with cutters. Each force lever includes two openings for pins of force joints arranged symmetrically relative to rotation centers of force levers. In plane of each cutter there are four openings whose centers form isosceles trapezium. Pair of openings joined with one diagonal of said trapezium is in the form of grooves oriented along bases of trapezium and directed to the same side. Slit for cut object is formed in mean portion of cutter and it is oriented normally relative to bases of trapezium. Cutters are mounted by mirror fashion one relative to other. Each cutter is jointly connected with both force levers through one pair of pins of force joints along diagonal of trapezium and it is joined with grooves in other diagonal of second cutter through second pair of pins of force joints with possibility of linear motion.

EFFECT: improved design, enhanced operational properties, less mass of cutting pliers.
