FIELD: mechanics.

SUBSTANCE: cutting head includes a pair of identical cutting blades on the middle part of which there are holes for hinged connection by means of side plates and pins of power hinges. On similar ends of cutting blades there are holes for hinged connection with power levers, on opposite ends there are blades which are wedge-shaped in cross section with arched concavities forming lens-shaped gap between them. Between cutting blades there installed is trunnion in order to eliminate their mutual offset relative to each other in longitudinal direction. Trunnion is rigidly fixed in side plates on longitudinal axis of cutting head between holes for hinged connection of cutting blades to each other and to holes for their hinged connection with power levers, and on the part of outline of both cutting blades, which faces the trunnions, there are identical samples which are in constant contact with trunnions at any degree of opening of blades of cutting blades and which are located beyond the field ranges of their critical cross sections.

EFFECT: decreasing mass of cutting head, improving operating characteristics of the product.
