FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: cable garden pruners comprise a pair of power levers connected to each other by means of a common finger, which carries a pin spring. A cutting knife is hingedly connected to a free end of one of power levers by means of a power hinged joint finger. A counter knife with a recess arranged on its contour for a cutting object is hingedly connected to a free end of the second power lever by means of a finger of another power hinged joint. A slot for the finger of the first power hinged joint is provided on the counter-knife plane. An identical slot for the finger of the other power hinged joint is provided on the cutting knife plane. Holes for both fingers and slots from them are arranged on a common axis. The cutting knife and the counter-knife are made as triangular plates laid one onto another. Holes for fingers of power hinged joints are arranged at the opposite tops of a conventional triangle adjacent to its base. On ribs of the triangular plates adjoining one of the conventional triangle base tops there are the following components arranged: a hook at the counter knife plate to form a recess for a cutting object together with an adjacent rib, and a blade with single-sided bore at the adjacent rib of the cutting knife.

EFFECT: simplified design, reduced friction forces in its elements and possibility to do operations with considerable increase of the cutting object diameter.
