FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: pruner for cutting cable and fruit tree and bush branches, comprising pair of power levers, pair of cutting knives, and pivot joint elements between them. The cutting knives are identical and have the shape as shown in Fig. 3, and a hole for their oscillation trunnion. Part of the first edge of each knife has a recess for the object being cut, and a half of the second edge has an arc-shaped convexity forming, together with the recess for the object being cut, a crescent-shaped counterknife. The second half of the second edge has a serrated arc-shaped blade, the arc centre of which lies outside of its sector area, relative to the centre of oscillation of the cutting knives; and the cutting knife plane has a hole for the power pivot pin on an arc drawn from its centre of oscillation, the hole abutting the first edge with the recess for the object being cut, and an arc-shaped slot for the pin of the other power pivot, the slot abutting the third edge. The second cutting knife is located on the first one with its reverse side so that its crescent-shaped counterknife and arc-shaped blade are located on the first knife blade and counterknife to form a pair of slots for the object being cut with the power levers spread, the slots being overlapped when the latter are brought together into the final cutting position. The power pivot pin holes of both cutting knives are located on the mating arc-shaped slots, the oscillation trunnion holes of the cutting knives are superimposed.

EFFECT: increased pruner service life; enhanced pruner functionality; simpler design; increased assembly efficiency, enhanced cutting conditions and quality.
