SUBSTANCE: method involves providing synchronous registrograms of radiance temperature T(r) of area grounds at two frequencies; converting functions of spatial dependence of T(r) by quantization of digital readings $$$ and $$$ into matrices; calculating parameters of: root-mean-square deviation and autocorrelation function of electric signal of difference matrix $$$; evaluating the level of gravitational-capillary moisture of area in regressive dependence: $$$, where $$$ is limit penetration depth of field into ground at frequency of $$$; R is autocorrelation function width at the level of 0.1 V (max) /R/; $$$ is root-mean-square deviation of difference matrix signal; $$$ is index constant determined by probing reference areas.
