FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to forestry and can be used in assessing the dynamics of global climate changes in the Arctic Region. According to the method the spectrometric measurements are carried out in the transition zone of 69-70° of north latitude containing the test areas are in the range of 0.55-0.68 mcm and 0.73-1.1 mcm, as well as synchronous radiometric measurements in the microwave range on the wavelength of ~30 cm. The calculation of values of vegetation index NDVI is carried out for each pixel of the frame of the spectrometric measurements. The synthesized measurement matrices of the resulting signal of the image frames are formed by multiplying the corresponding pixels of NDVI values and pixels of signal of radiometric measurements. Based on the measurements of the zone boundary of the test area the threshold value of synthesized signal To is determined. Based on the threshold value using the software processing the boundary line is determined and the visualization of the boundary of "forest-fenland" zone and its imposition on a contour map of the Arctic zone is carried out.
EFFECT: contrast enhancement of the signal at the boundary of the transition zone of forest-fenland.
