FIELD: technology for erasing records from magnetic data carriers.
SUBSTANCE: method includes forming a pulse magnetic field with rotating strength vector and then used to affect magnetic carrier with magnetic cells until saturation. Such an effect causes direction disorientation of cells at magnetic carrier. Resulting effect is even and reliable deletion of information. Method is realized in device, including additional pair of channels for generation of pulse magnetic fields, which provide adding of generated pulse magnetic fields with forming of total pulse magnetic field with rotating strength vector.
EFFECT: even and reliable deletion of information, faster operation, decreased energy costs.
