DETERMINATION OF SUNFLOWER PLANT RESISTANCE TO ANTHODIUM FUSARIUM BLIGHT Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC A01H1/04

Abstract RU 2267260 C1

FIELD: agriculture, in particular breeding of sunflower species with resistance to anthodium fusarium blight.

SUBSTANCE: claimed method includes inoculate preparation, inoculation of plant reproductive organ, visual evaluation of plant immunological response and resistance differentiation. As inoculume water suspension containing two 15-days pure cultural species of fusarium fungi F.sporotrichiella and F.moniliforme in ratio of 1:1 and having concentration of 4500-5000 spore/ml is used. Anthodium in bud-formation period is inoculated by said suspension injection in amount of 0.05-0.1 ml into anthodium back surface nearly edge thereof. Visual evaluation of immunological response is carried out in anthodium mature stage on the base of infestation expansion over back surface thereof. Resistance differentiation is carried out on the base of infestation ratio of the said surface. More particularly, plants with infestation area of 0-15 % (based on total anthodium area) belong to resistant type; 16-35 % belong to medium-resistant type; 36-70 % belong to susceptible type, and 71-100 % belong to high susceptible type.

EFFECT: method of increased accuracy; decreased working hours.
