FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves preparing pathogen; germinating seeds in wet medium and planting two-day aged sprouts on flat perforated base positioned on container with pathogen; inoculating by holding sprouts in contact with pathogen; visually evaluating immune reaction of plants, with 15-day aged culture of Fusarium fungi grown in Petri cups being used as pathogen. Perforated Petri cup covers are used as flat bases. Two-day aged sprouts are inoculated for 6 hours and infected sprouts are kept in contact with sterile water in wet chamber for 3 days. Visual evaluation of plant immune reaction is provided on the basis of extent of spreading infection to root neck part and hypocotyl. EFFECT: simplified operation for preparing of pathogen and infecting of sprouts with said pathogen, improved protection of personnel from hazardous effect of toxin and reduced costs. 1 ex
