FIELD: metallurgy, chemistry, namely applied electrochemistry, particularly process for making platinum-titanium anodes.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of plating platinum coating onto titanium substrate from ammonia electrolyte on base of salt [Pt( NH3 )2( NO2 )2]; using platinum- plating electrolyte with platinum concentration 2 - 9g/cub.dm; before applying platinum coating realizing chemical etching directly in platinum-plating electrolyte for 5 - 10 min; then subjecting formed platinum-titanium anodes to anode treatment in bath for electric extraction of platinum at anode potential 1.8 - 2.2 V.
EFFECT: lowered consumption of platinum for preparing ammonia solution for platinum plating, simplified process of preliminary chemical preparation.
