FIELD: atomic power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the field of atomic power engineering. The method of combustion of transuranium chemical elements, at which the indicated elements are placed in subcritical core region of a nuclear reactor provides for realization of injection of the slitting neutrons emitted by an external source in this core region. At that use the reactor, in which the core region operates on a low subcritical level, essentially equal to the differences between the desirable share βt of delayed neutrons in the core region and the real share β of the delayed neutrons in the core region. Measure an instant flow n(t) of neutrons in the core region. Adjust the power of the external source in the real time on the base of the measured instant flow n(t) of neutrons so, that to imitate presence in the cpre region of an additional group of the delayed neutrons in compliance with the share βs of the delayed neutrons equal to the indicated difference. The technical result of the invention consists in an increased quality of reprocessing of the A-waste and safety of the method.
